WORKING TOGETHER FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE
SUSTAINABILITY
OUR APPROACH
Sustainability is at the core of our business and is supported by our vertically integrated single-roof strategy. We are committed to continue building a future-proof ESG strategy to maximize our positive impact for our stakeholders and minimize our footprint.
SUSTAINABILITY EMBEDDED IN OUR OPERATIONS
We prioritize sustainability topics in our operations based on their significance to stakeholders, but also on their potential impact on Corialis' financial health and strategic objectives.
To realize our sustainability ambitions, we focus on:
SUSTAINABILITY EMBEDDED IN OUR COMMITMENTS
Since 2021, Corialis has been committed to the UN Global Compact corporate responsibility initiative and its principles in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption.
Our engagement to the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) demonstrates that we are taking action to reduce our emissions. Read more about our validated science-based targets in the section Environment.
As part of our sustainability commitment, we have been conducting annual EcoVadis assessments since 2020. In 2023, we were once again recognized with a gold medal from EcoVadis. Corialis is among the top 1% of all companies in its industry category rated by EcoVadis.
SUSTAINABILITY PROVED BY OUR CERTIFICATIONS
Our products and operations adhere to the highest environmental and social standards, as evidenced by our country and market-specific certifications.
Our hubs in Belgium, France and Eastern Europe obtained Cradle to Cradle certifications for a selection of our aluminium systems. The certificate is granted by the independent Cradle to Cradle Product Innovation Institute (C2CPII) based in San Francisco. Each of our certified products is assessed for their environmental and social performance across five critical sustainability categories:
Material Health
Material Reutilization
Renewable Energy
Water Stewardship
Social Fairness
We are implementing ISO certifications to ensure that we have the highest standards of relevant management systems across all hubs. Compliance with ISO standards is mandatory for all our hubs, aligning with specific business requirements.
All production hubs are certified in accordance with ISO standards 9001 (quality), 14001 (environment) and 45001 (occupational health and safety). Furthermore, 86% of our production hubs are ISO 50001 (energy) certified.
